9 Characteristics of a Successful Persona

It’s not every day that you wake up in the morning with a bright smile on your face and motivation pumping through your veins.

On those hard days, reading a little about something inspiring and something motivational always helps us boost our dying enthusiasm, right? One thing that surely gets our spirits up is reading and knowing about something positive and motivating like a story of someone successful.

These stories are not all beds of roses, these are tales of ups and downs one must face before becoming what society calls being successful.

The dictionary defines success as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose but come to think of it, success is so much more than the grand finale of a journey you worked so hard for, it is the entire journey that led you to where you wished to reach!

So while we appreciate a good story, we also come to appreciate the man who stirs us to do something good and productive – who helps us believe that one day even we can be an inspiration to many.

But how does one define a successful person? Does one define success with the kind of car you drive to your office or on which floor in a high rise is your office? Or do you define success with how many people turn to you when they need help or some advice? Or do you define it as a mix of both?

Whatever your definition may be, there are some attributes that every successful persona has that makes them what they are.

Determination To Run The Extra Mile

A big part of being successful is being determined, even when the times get hard – actually, especially then. With a goal clear in your head and the determination to do whatever it takes to make it a reality, nothing can stop you from being successful in whatever field you step into.

Never Lose Sight Of Focus

Never lose sight of your aim and always focus on getting what you truly want if you want to be successful.

Making to-do lists, motivating the team, delegating tasks that you don’t expertise in, and getting your things done on time – it all requires abundant concentration and willingness to get the work done.

Building Connections

Now, building connections has a lot to do with your communication skills but it’s not all about communication. You may talk effortlessly and eloquently to your clients but if you lack the courtesy to talk to your employees then that can be problematic in the long run.

So, if you wish to be successful then you should work on making your communication skills more flexible and also try to build a rapport with people you work with in order to achieve more and excel better.

Being Patient And Level Headed

Being patient isn’t a virtue many are blessed with; however, it is a virtue you’d notice in many successful people. Let-downs and failures are a part of life and so are the frustration and agony that comes with it.

But, one’s got to be patient and deal with these hard times with a calm and level-headedness to make it to their ultimate goal. After all, as Arianna Huffington once said, “Failure is not the opposite of success; it’s part of success.”

Keeping Up The Spirits

People with passion make the impossible happen! Putting in all your passion into what you do is what leads your road to greatness. Your passion is the constant reminder of why you cannot give up every time you feel like letting your armour down.

Think of it as – it’s the passion to make his comic one of the biggest in the world that drives Stan Lee to work even at the age of 95.

Putting Your Best Foot Forward, Always

Confidence is one of the biggest factors that makes you successful. Being comfortable and content with yourself and being able to trust yourself into doing things that you never did before – that’s confidence and you can reach places you never imagined when you have that.

It was this confidence and acumen that led to the foundation of one of the biggest industries around the world, Reliance Industry by the famous Indian tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani – a pure and simple example of rags to riches with wit, determination, and tons of confidence.

Being Positive

This one is easier said than done but it is highly appreciated and needed to be successful in life. Having a positive look towards life and always finding something to learn in your hardest times – that is what makes your persona shine even in the darkest hour.

There are going to be times when work and things in life get so hard that you feel everything crumbling around yourself, it’s in moments like those that you need to stay calm and maintain your strength and make sure that you and people around you overcome all the hurdles.

Being Loyal

Loyalty is one of the most questioned yet highly regarded qualities of a person and maintaining this attribute even when you have achieved a lot is one true trait of a good, successful person.

Building relationships and networking is one important aspect of your road towards being successful. To make a network one must realize the importance of giving and not just taking and above all – always maintaining a sense of loyalty for the future.

Keeping Your Moral Game Strong

We have been hearing since time immemorial that honesty is the best policy and however cliched and old-fashioned this may still sound, certain integrity is one of the most important attributes you can imbibe in yourself to be truly successful.

For you can learn a lot from the books but certain things just need to be soaked in personally and maintained through life.

So, while there are no hard and fast rules on being successful, one can always try to be a better person – that’s anyway the first step towards the long ladder of success.
